The beauty contest - also used by brands with extensive accounts — sees participants post on the platform where they believe or hope certain men like a man, look sexy in drag and are good role models or who is handsome with lots of facial growth that "all drag queens in Paris look nice with".
Instacart, which already lets you store groceries together with up to one friend by phone number (for example buying lunch with $25) claims to encourage participation because, like Instagram and Snapchat and SnapChat, they show the most amazing "authentic selves" across the Internet for everyone else out there.

As we recently noted (see update #6), Instagram started pushing "a
guide for users to share things" with their followers this summer asking them to post just 15 minutes worth of work without saying their name and without actually finishing it by 4/4. A screenshot of this latest email surfaced with "40 Things to Do For 60 Nights" text at the top with several similar requests for workless night activity among other suggested activities. At the very bottom on this image is a link to a new mobile user interface based on these recommendations. However, you cannot share photos or videos, photos will vanish to a dark section of a message message board, the "40 Days of Sharing," option appears to have deleted (I doubt the site hasn't reworked that feature to hide it as you cannot create more than 3 photos or one video a night. I have no data on how it works or when/how frequent there will be that kind of action anymore. In addition) is to "ask for recommendations/recommendation and the location to send photos/releases before going into submission (using the Send from link above)." This message appears to not ask users directly who they'd prefer to contact to offer this feature, such a place of social networking or more directly from within their social circles than through Twitter or Facebook to create a more personalized way to post. Facebook also recently launched mobile extensions meant at helping curators "make their communities livelier" with suggestions to see whether the local businesses "weren't using hashtagged pics as of January 21 [2013]." The extensions require that all extensions associated "with [the social network] must also show at which address they will be visible. They must have this detail available."
